By harnessing the power of exponential cell growth, our Cellcraft® Farm grows meat naturally, outside of animal bodies, in a controlled environment. Using cutting-edge tissue engineering and biomimetic systems, our simple, end-to-end process can be set up almost anywhere to produce the delicious foods that people know and love with unprecedented control.

Cultivated meat is also known as ‘cultured’, ‘cell-based’ or ‘clean’ meat, but for us, it’s called ‘Cellcraft®’ meat. By harmlessly harvesting a batch of cells from an animal once, we create a cell bank that supplies our production. Conditioned to grow inside our state-of-the-art bioreactors and fed by nutritious media, these cells go on to become animal protein or fat – just like they would inside an animal's body.
Our cells are shipped to our customers, so that they can grow their own deliciousmeats at affordable costs locally, across the globe. Before long, the same meat you’d expect from animal farming is ready, but produced using a kinder, safer, antibiotic-free method with no risks of disease. Cellcraft® meat is better for us, better for animals, and better for our planet.
You can learn more from the Good Food Institute or Modern Meat, the world’s first textbook on cultivated meat, co-authored and edited by our founders.
We live for science, and we want to put it in your hands so that you can change the world. Easily added to your existing production lines or quick to set up as a new system, our Cellcraft® Farm offers automated end-to-end meat production that is slaughter- and cruelty-free, low-carbon and scalable.

CUTTING-EDGE SOFTWARE TO AUTOMATE & STREAMLINE PROCESSES
Cellcraft® meat begins with three core ingredients: cells, growth media, and scaffolds. We provide carefully selected cells – free from any genetic modification – from premium quality sources along with vegan growth media, ensuring the highest quality end product.

We start by carefully and harmlessly extracting the right type of cells from an animal just once. These cells are then reprogrammed into pluripotent stem cells (using a proprietary technique without any genetic modification), allowing us to grow millions of kgs of meat – all from the same initial sample.

Our cells are fed a safe, animal-free, nutritious liquid media which contains hundreds of different proteins, vitamins, and sugars. Its composition determines whether the cells grow and turn into meat, so is crucially important to the process. We collaborate with various companies to develop and deliver the optimal media, which proudly contains no FBS (Foetal Bovine Serum).

Our large-scale bioreactors are being purpose-built for Cellcraft® meat production. This affordable, one-time investment is the heart of the end-to-end production line, and will use pioneering bioelectronic sensors to give us real-time data and an unprecedented level of insight into the cells as they grow into meat. We collaborate with large scale hardware manufacturers to make our bioreactors and ship them to our meat production partners.

Our bioreactor is being purpose-built for Cellcraft® meat production, and its design is driven by cutting-edge computational modelling and simulation techniques. Our consortium with the University of Cambridge and University of Manchester won an Innovate UK and BBSRC grant for one of the world’s most ambitious and comprehensive bioreactor development programmes. Our continuous bioreactor is expected to be the most efficient and economic option, and our early bioreactor prototype was showcased by TechCrunch at the world’s first live-streamed demonstration of a cultured meat bioreactor.

We leverage cutting-edge machine learning (AI) to create the perfect conditions for cell growth. Thanks to our proprietary technologies and world-leading expertise from the University of Cambridge, we’re developing market-ready varieties of delectable, low cost meats – all available for your new production line.

Developing a production process can take several years and cost millions. That’s why we created a simple to use system that can be tailored to your needs, fully supported with automation software to monitor and implement your production process. We use machine learning (AI) to ensure every element of the process is optimised. Our production systems are automated to allow food producers to make meat without special training or years of specialised R&D.

Animal farming is our planet’s single biggest land use: occupying more than 30% of the Earth’s surface, and emitting more greenhouse gases than the entire transportation sector combined1.
We’re pioneering cellular agriculture fit for the digital age, empowering producers to grow meat responsibly and safely, at commercial scales. Using bespoke technologies to harness the power of natural cell growth, our groundbreaking B2B system can help transform the future of meat production.
There’s no need for any prior knowledge of the industry, or a major investment in research and development – simply sign up and join us in feeding the world delicious, safe meat with a cutting-edge, super-efficient approach.

Meat production as we know it is a leading cause of climate change. It’s responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than all transportation combined1, demands ⅓ of the world’s fresh water, and occupies more than 30% of the Earth’s surface2. But if we take animals out of the equation with cultivated meat, we can redress the balance – creating a revolution in how we eat and think about protein.

Animals are cute and loveable, but make for a terribly inefficient food source. Around 80 billion animals are slaughtered each year for meat2, using 83% of global farmland, but providing only 18% of the world’s calories and 37% of its protein3. Meat demand is expected to increase 76% by 20504, and current methods simply cannot meet this growing demand. Our system is cruelty free, and can feed the world with clean, efficient meat that’s kinder to animals and kinder to the planet.

Animal farming is a leading cause of antimicrobial resistance, which has been declared as one of the top 10 global public health threats to humanity by the WHO1. By switching to a system based on Cellcraft® meat, we can create food that doesn’t rely on antibiotics. Our technology enables the composition of Cellcraft® meats to be tailored to dietary needs by controlling the muscle and fat percentages, and thanks to localised production, also means less preservatives and fresher meat.

Through Cellcraft® Farms, we empower food producers to make their own cultured meats, anywhere in the world. We can address global food security challenges through high quality protein tailored to local tastes and preferences, and by focusing on affordability, we can help make cultured meat a reality for all. Local production also saves on the high costs of shipping and frozen storage, which are also unsustainable.
